9 Spring 2022 Shoe Trends to Shop ASAP
Just as exciting as the clothing designers present during fashion month are the countless shoe designs that go along with them. Every so often there are one or two styles that catch the attention of fashion insiders and ignite like wildfire. After two seasons where designers catered almost exclusively to the loungewear crowd, the top shoe trends for spring 2022 are poised for a big return to the outside world.
While chunky sandals and furry slides—both nods toward lockdown fashion—won’t be going anywhere thanks to Hermès, MaxMara, Fendi, and Loewe, party-ready heels that are decked in embellishments and other adornments are back in the mix. Clogs and platforms aren’t fading away either: Acne, Coperni, Saint Laurent, and Versace all co-signed the trend, and the latter debuted a loafer-platform hybrid that’s likely to spawn a thousand copycats.
For those that are hoping to get ahead of the wave, find the top spring 2022 shoe trends—and shop our favorites—below.Peter White - Getty Images - 2/46
