In low-vis conditions and falling snow on the course, Mikaela Shiffrin finished out with yet another podium finish in GS.

This totals 41 World Cup GS podium finishes for Shiffrin, who now has the record for most World Cup wins among women, and she also ties Ted Ligety's record for World Cup GS wins out of all American skiers.

The footage shows Mikaela competing at Mont Tremblant in Quebec for Giant Slalom, tactical and precise as ever, toughing it out under clouds as thick as pea soup. Racing in low visibility at high speeds can be treacherous especially as the day goes on and the track gets rutted up.

Many commenters on the IG post expressed their concerns, writing, "Conditions looked frightening!" and "Under those diminished visibility conditions, I'm glad no one was injured."

These are valid concerns. We've seen how injuries can derail a promising season, like downhill racer Erik Arvidsson's torn ACL/LCL, leading him to miss out on a much-anticipated ski season.

Besides falling, if the skier gets "behind" on their turns, they risk skiing over the deep tracks made by the skiers in front of them, messing up their arc and slowing them down, costing them crucial seconds and potentially adding time to their finish.

Still, Mikaela didn't boil over under pressure. Her form was loose, fluid, and controlled. She tucked in all the right places. Kept her upper and lower body separate. Applied pressure when needed.

Ultimately, Mikaela took 3rd in both GS events at Tremblant, and is retains her title as the GOAT. And it's only the start of December.
