Sherwin-Williams Names Evergreen Fog Its 2022 Color of the Year
The Sherwin-Williams Color of the Year for 2022 is finally here—and you’re going to have the urge to repaint your entire house once you see its versatility. Known as Evergreen Fog, this gray-green hue is “a sophisticated wash of color for spaces that crave a subtle yet stunning statement shade,” said Sue Wadden, the director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams, in a statement. “Evergreen Fog inspires us to begin again and is a great choice for modern interiors and exteriors.”
The charming shade is part of the Method palette in the Sherwin-Williams 2022 Colormix® Forecast—and Wadden recommends pairing it with shades like Shoji White, Accessible Beige, and Woven Wicker for a natural look, or Urbane Bronze, Über Umber, and Bakelite Gold for a more luxurious feel.
“The familiar, comfortable nature of Evergreen Fog shines as a reassuring backdrop and freshens up any space,” said Wadden. “Create depth and texture with a mix of natural-looking textiles. Add a little gleam with a fusion of metals—champagne gold, warm brass, or inky black.”
Evergreen Fog is the 12th Color of the Year from Sherwin-Williams, following last year’s selection of Urbane Bronze.
