Sherri Shepherd has worked incredibly hard to lose weight lately, and it shows—she looks straight-up amazing. But, Sherri just shared that she’s gained a little back (because she’s human) and she’s ready to get back on track again.
“Have to admit I gained some lbs bc I’ve been traveling non-stop, eating out & no exercise,” Sherri captioned several photos of herself on Instagram.
Now, she's on a mission to lose 15 pounds in six months, and challenged other people to do the same.
ICYM Sherri’s weight-loss journey so far, Sherri revealed in December that she stopped eating sugar as part of the keto diet and lost 25 pounds. “Over 260 days #sugarfree … can’t begin to describe how #amazing I feel,” she wrote in an Instagram post at the time.
Sherri revealed in May that her diabetes tests results are no longer in an unhealthy range. Sherri, who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2007, said her doctor was blown away by her results. “The doctor excitedly said 'OHMYGOD what did you do? You’re not even prediabetic!'" she wrote on Instagram.

Sherri said in 2018 that she was inspired to lose weight after a talk with her son, Jeffrey. "Sometimes you go through stuff and you want to just grab something sweet," she said on The Wendy Williams Show, per Us Weekly. “Ex-husbands, things like that. And I was doing that and Jeffrey was in the backseat, Wendy, and I was eating something I wasn’t supposed to. He said, ‘Mommy, if you die, who’s going to be my bodyguard?’ I said, ‘What are you talking about?’ ‘Who’s going to watch me?’ And literally I said, ‘Sherri, you’ve got to do something different.’”
She did, and the results have been seriously amazing.
