Shelter's Story of Senior Kitty Finally Being Adopted Is Giving People the Feels
This sweet baby was so patient waiting for a home.
Whenever we hear about senior animals in the shelter, it usually is a sad story because no one wants to adopt them. But we're happy to report that this recent video from TikTok user @aaps_victoria has a very happy ending.
Meet Morning Rise, a 13-year-old white cat that was surrendered to the Australian-based animal shelter about 6 months ago after his owners moved. The staff quickly fell in love with him because he was so sweet, but unfortunately, all the potential adopters walked right past him because of his age. That is until someone finally took a chance on him. Take a look!

Aww! See?! We told you this story has a very happy ending! After 161 days in the shelter, Morning Rise was finally adopted by someone who is going to give him all the love and snuggles in the world.
One TikToker, @katdnz1, said, "Fantastic news! You can just tell what a lovely boy he is. Glad he will get the loving home he deserves." As are we! He deserves to spend the rest of his golden years with a family who loves him unconditionally. And honestly, who cares if he's 13 years old? He's still a kitten at heart!
"Enjoy your new home, Mr. Handsome. I hope you get spoiled and get lots of pats," commented @monique_fxx. We don't even hope because we just know his new owner is going to give him all of that and then some. Plus, we imagine him getting lots and lots of treats because well, who wouldn't give this precious baby treats?!
