Shelter Kittens Are Captivated and Baffled Over Toy Bubble Machine

Shelter workers consistently strive to enhance the well-being of the animals under their care by implementing various enrichment techniques. These can include things like adding artwork to their kennel walls, giving the animals things like snuffle mats or food dispensing toys, or using items like bubble machines to amuse the cats and dogs.

That's what the amazing folks at TikTok account @Mi_animalrescueleague did for some stray kittens. It didn't quite go as expected.

LOL! Here's my advice, just go out to the trash and grab the box the bubble machine came in and give that to the cats to play with! The kittens were totally into it when the machine was turned off, but as soon as it was turned on they nope'd on out of there!

A lot of TikTok user's cats have basically the same reaction to bubbles, and @Donna comments, "It’s funny how some cats love bubbles and others don’t. Our little girl LOVES them but her brother and mother RUN." That is so true, some animals go absolutely bonkers over bubble machines but these kittens just have zero interest. @Kate looks on the bright side and says, "But you’re in a room full of bubbles and kittens. Sounds like a win!" Yeah. We'd love to spend a few hours in that situation! @David adds, "They said 'Nooooo Thanks!.'

A lot of users suggested bubble catnip (You know, bubbles that contain catnip in the solution) but it may just be these kittens are too young to enjoy catnip or bubbles. But we sure do love how this shelter worker went out of his way to provide them with enrichment anyway!
