Sheer Looks Were Trending at Dolce & Gabbana 40th Anniversary Party With Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lupita Nyong’o and More
The world of fashion and the brightest global stars gathered in Milan for Dolce & Gabbana’s 40th anniversary party and opening of the From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce & Gabbana exhibition on Saturday, and a bevy of attendees opted to celebrate the Italian luxury fashion house by bringing the sheer trend to the festivities.
The sheer trend has been on a number of red carpets as of late. State-side, several stars fashioned the trend for the iHeartRadio Music Awards last week. At the start of the year, sheer was a major trend on the red carpet of the Emmy Awards in January.

Lupita Nyong’o

The “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” star wore sheer leggings that ended at her ankles and a sheer turtleneck top. Over the sheer elements of her look, Nyong’o fashioned a glittering bra top and matching miniskirt.
Demi Moore
Demi Moore sparkled from head-to-toe in a glittering Dolce & Gabbana sheer dress. The garment featured a floor-length skirt and long sleeves. Beneath the sheer frock, Moore wore a black bra with matching high-waisted short-shorts.
Dolce & Gabbana’s 40th anniversary party coincided with the opening of From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce & Gabbana, an exhibition that opens in Milan and will travel worldwide. The exhibition will chronicle Dolce & Gabbana’s longstanding source of inspiration: Italy. The exhibition is curated by Florence Müller and produced by IMG.
