“She Said Oui”: Royal Brother James Middleton Is Officially Engaged

James Middleton has officially confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Alizee Thevenet.

Kate Middleton's younger brother took to Instagram on Sunday (Oct. 5) a day after news of their reported secret engagement broke. He confirmed the news with a fun caption alongside a romantic photo of the pair.

"She said OUI ," he wrote. "Our secret is out but we couldn’t be happier to share the news #jalizee "

In the snap, Alizee is seen showing off her new engagement ring, which features a nicely-sized sapphire, similar to the very same sapphire and diamond engagement ring Prince William originally gave to Kate in 2010 – a royal throwback!

The pair had originally been keeping the engagement a secret, according to the Daily Mail, but now that it's out in the open, the two couldn't be more excited to share their plans to begin a new life together.

The couple has been mostly quiet about their romance, though James brought Alizee along with him on a family vacation to St. Barts alongside sister Pippa Middleton and husband James Matthews earlier this year.

It hasn't been difficult to connect the dots between the couple's interactions and fun Instagram snaps, including one of Alizee laughing as James's golden retriever Mabel jumps straight into a swimming pool.

It doesn't appear that James and Alizee have set a date for what is sure to be a lavish ceremony, but it should be an affair to remember, if it's anything like the rest of the royal family's nuptials and related celebrations.

This new engagement announcement means one more royal wedding to look forward to. Princess Beatrice is set to wed boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The pair announced their engagement on Sept. 2 via an official statement from Buckingham Palace following Mozzi's proposal during a romantic Italian vacation.

We can't wait to see what either ceremony will end up looking like, as wedding bells continue to ring for the members of the royal family.
