Shay Mitchell is having fun clapping back at trolls who shame her pregnancy, and she's the best

Shay Mitchell is out here living her best pregnant life and definitely doesn’t seem worried about what mean trolls have to say about her. In fact, she’s proven she’s a total pro when it comes to putting rude Instagram users in their place. Exactly one week ago, the Pretty Little Liars star announced she’s six months pregnant by posting a photo of her belly via Instagram. It confirmed she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Matte Babel, after the actress experienced a miscarriage in 2018. Though the star has received an overwhelming amount of positive messages from fans, there are still people out there who think it’s okay to shame a pregnant woman—specifically because she’s not married.

Since announcing the news, Mitchell has been happily posting photos of her bump while she’s on vacation in Italy with her girlfriends. However, she’s also been forced to shut down critics left and right. It all started when she shared a snap of her lunch, which consisted of prosciutto and melon, olives, and a tomato salad.

In the background of the pic, there was also a glass of wine—and it didn’t take long for people to criticize her meal. “You shouldn’t eat that,” one person wrote.

“Can I have the wine tho?!” Mitchell jokingly wrote back.

On another photo, this time of Mitchell laying on a beach towel, someone commented “baby daddy?” to which she responded with the shrugging emoji.

Then, on Thursday, July 4th, Mitchell posted a stunning picture of her and her friend and Alex Merrell, posing with on a yacht in bikinis and towels on their heads.

“This is my new sucking in …#summerbod2019” she captioned the shot.

This prompted someone to write “How?? Is she married?” in the comments section. “Not married, can you believe it still happened?!!” Mitchell clapped back.

Luckily, none of this negativity seems to be getting her down. She seems happier than ever and even just revealed she and Babel are expecting a baby girl.
