Shawn Mendes Wore Black Nail Polish on His Australian Vacation
Thanks to Shawn Mendes, we can officially add black nail polish to our list of beachside vacation essentials. During a recent run along the shore, the pop star gave the paparazzi a peek at his polish choice, and as you can see in the photos, Mendes prefers basic black for his nails.
There's no word on what might have inspired Mendes to embrace the always-appropriate color choice, but as Popsugar pointed out, the shade was spotted during his vacation. He paired the choice of nail color with blue shorts and a black sweatshirt tied around his waist. In keeping with the color theme, he wore black sneakers and matching socks.
Just days before he was spotted running, Mendes shared a selfie from his trip. Although his nails weren't included in the photo, he did express his appreciation for the area, writing, "Magical place kindest people!"
This isn't the first time Mendes has been spotted in a nail shade that could inspire your next manicure. The singer has worn black polish in the past, but chose to wear the shade on only two of his nails. Naturally, fans had their theories regarding the interesting choice, but Capitol FM pointed out that he was likely participating in the Polished Man Campaign, an annual endeavor that encourages others to paint their nails to raise awareness of children affected by violence.
Whatever inspired Shawn to go black with his nails this time, he's not the only celeb to prefer a black manicure. Harry Styles apparently loves the color for his nails, as do Demi Lovato and Emma Watson. And to take your black manicure even one step further, you could always get a friend or significant other to join in matching manicures like Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner. The options are truly endless.
