Shawn Mendes Walked the 2019 Grammys Red Carpet with a Mysterious Date

With his first ever Grammy nominations under his belt, Shawn Mendes walked the red carpet Sunday night in a dashing blue suit. And he didn't arrive alone - the "In My Blood" singer brought his father, Manuel Mendes, as his date to the show. How adorable!

Though the singer has brought his dad to events in the past, this show is an especially big moment for Shawn.

While the singer has attended and even performed at the Grammys in the past, his nominations this year are a first. Shawn's catchy song, "In My Blood," is nominated for Song of the Year, while his self-titled third album is up for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Shawn and Miley Cyrus delivered a beautiful performance for the Grammys MusiCares Person Of The Year Celebration this year. They paid tribute to Dolly Parton in an amazing rendition of "Islands in the Stream," a song originally by Dolly and Kenny Rogers.
