There's no doubt that Shawn Mendes is extremely devoted to his fan base, the Mendes Army. He frequently interacts with them on social media and even got a real-life tattoo inspired by a tweet one of his fans sent him. But while social media lets Shawn get to know his audience a little bit better, he recently decided it was time to take a break from all of his channels. At a recent pre-concert Q&A in Atlanta, Shawn admitted that he deleted Instagram and Twitter just a few days ago. Instead, he's asked his manager to run the accounts.

Shawn told his fans that he recently felt he had to take a little break from social media. "I struggle with social media a lot too,” he said. “To be honest with you guys, I deleted Instagram and Twitter three days ago, but I send my manager pictures and I’m like, ‘Can you post this?’”

Shawn also stressed the importance of practicing self-care. "‘Sometimes I need to take a break from it too because it gets to me just as much as it gets to anyone else," he added. "You have to take care of yourself. It’s really really important. Make yourself come first, yea."

Recently, some steamy, PDA-filled pictures of Shawn and Camila Cabello surfaced online. The two were making out in the water while on a beach-date. The pictures were just a few in a series of photos of Shawn and Camila's many dates, leaving some wondering whether the relationship is just a publicity stunt.

The two have long denied a romance, but paparazzi and fans seem to keep catching them in some serious PDA sessions. I guess we'll find out what their real status is soon enough.
