Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello had a pretty scary experience last week when their L.A. house was broken into while they were literally inside it. According to TMZ, the couple was at home when intruders broke through a window. However, they "made a pretty quick exit" upon realizing Shawn and Camilla were in the house—and managed to grab the keys to Shawn's Mercedes SUV on their way out.

TMZ's sources say police were called and rushed to the couple's place, but the intruders had already left with Shawn's car. As of March 28, no arrests have been made and the LAPD is "still investigating." Truly can't imagine how scary this experience must have been!

As a reminder, Shawn and Camila have been dating (and basically inseparable) since 2019, and they've spent much of the pandemic hunkered down at home, taking long walks, and occasionally stopping to make out in the middle of random streets.

Shawn recently told Entertainment Tonight that an engagement could be in their future, saying, "Yeah, absolutely, I think for me it’s always been if I’m not willing to talk about that stuff, then I kind of check out a little bit, and I don’t know, I really think when you know, you know. She’s been one of my best friends since I was, like, 15 years old. I don’t know, at the same time, I know we are really young so I don’t want to jump, like, insanely fast, but I think when you find your person, you feel and you know that you have found your person.”
