Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Performed "Señorita" at the MTV VMAs 2019

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello brought "Senorita" and a whole lot of romance to the MTV Video Music Awards 2019 stage on Monday night.

For the duet, Shawn and Camila performed on a stage lit by golden lights, and throughout their time on the stage, the two sang to one another. At multiple points, the two appeared to nearly kiss, but instead pulled away. Although they didn't share in a smooch, the two did sing with their backs to one another and held hands as they departed the stage.

Along with support for their performance from social media, it appeared that Joe Jonas was also a fan. As numerous fans pointed out on Twitter, the Jonas Brother had a huge smile on his face as the pair finished the song, and some felt it was an all too accurate representation of the feelings of viewers watching at home. "LOOK HOW EXCITED JOE JONAS WAS AFTER SHAWN AND CAMILA’S PERFORMANCE," one person tweeted. "Joe Jonas’s reaction to Camila and Shawn performing, Sophie Turner standing up as well is such a mood," another follower remarked.

In addition to their performance, Shawn and Camila were also up for some VMA noms. "Señorita" was nominated for best collaboration, best art direction, best choreography, and best cinematography.

The VMAs duet comes after the pair had released the video for "Señorita" back in June. The steamy song, which is former President Barack Obama approved, has been heating up the charts, and the duo have apparently started some IRL romance of their own. Although nothing has been officially confirmed, Shawn and Camila have been spotted frequently together, and from a shared smooch to the most romantic birthday 'gram ever, social media has been keep close tabs on the suspected couple.
