Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Decided to Show Fans How They “Really” Kiss, and There’s Video

The great mystery that is the relationship between Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello has added another major chapter to its history — social media videos that explain the couple’s method of kissing. Ah yes, what a joy it is to awaken on a Thursday morning to a clip of two pop stars taking “making out” to a whole new level.

Shawn and Camila apparently had some extra time on their hands, and early Thursday morning, the pair shared a clip that addressed concern over their method of kissing. “We saw on Twitter and stuff you guys saying stuff about the way we were kissing, that it looks like weird and that we kiss like fish,” Shawn says. Camila then responds, saying, “It really hurt our feelings.”

Naturally, the only way to face these criticisms is to make a clip that shows a hilarious, and most likely fake, form of kissing, and Shawn declares, “We’re going to show you how we really kiss.”

The video has quickly sent the internet into a frenzy, with Niall Horan sharing laughing emojis, Teddy Geiger declaring it “the cutest sh*t on the internet,” and Charlie Puth responding with just a simple, “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAH.” Fans also chimed in with their thoughts, tweeting, “shawn mendes and camila cabello are truly braver than the marines,” and “CAMILA AND SHAWN ARE ICONIC. PERIOD.”

Of course, not everyone is a fan of the video or the fact that a major make out session was the first thing they saw on Twitter in the morning, and some have created a number of memes, including comparisons to another notorious PDA sessions, like the famed one on Saturday Night Live between Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield. One person even decided to take drastic measures, and threatened an unfollow to anyone who posts the video again.

In the words of Kacey Musgraves, “love is a wild thing,” and there’s truly no telling what the reported couple will share of their relationship next. We hope Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are out there feeling pleased with themselves.
