Shawn Mendes Braided Camila Cabello’s Hair While Backstage
Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have now taken their already storied — and downright adorable — friendship to new heights. Thanks to a new social media image of the pair, we can now confirm that friends who braid together, stay together.
Over the weekend, Camila shared a wholesome image of Shawn braiding her hair. We unfortunately didn't get to see the final braided product, but the image did capture the "Havana" singer seated on the floor, receiving a style courtesy of Shawn. She captioned the photo with a single emoji heart.
The joyous image quickly wracked up the likes on social media. Many fans were eager to rightfully dub the moment as being "too cute," calling it "the most wholesome friendship." One Twitter user even seemed to sum up all of the reactions, writing, "THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE PICTURE SKSKKSDJSK."
Along with Twitter's continued support for the pair's eternal bestie status, others expressed their hope for a new Shawn and Camlla collab. The backstage braid session comes just days after the two hinted at a possible future reunion. On December 5, the pair shared a black-and-white photo from a reported recent jam session. Although they didn't share any specific details regarding what was happening in the photo, both left sneaky comments that referenced their past work, writing, “IKWYDLS part 2????” and “IKWYDLS PART 2!!!!”
Nearly three years have passed since Shawn and Camila released their first collaboration, a single titled "I Know What You Did Last Summer." And while fans are definitely excited for a possible part two, perhaps this braided picture is pointing to something else, like a line of hair products.
OK, that definitely seems unlikely, but with the two frequently showing up on each other's social media feeds, fans are likely to hear more, and soon.
