Shawn Johnson’s Husband Andrew East Ignores Her Advice About Their Kids — & the Consequences Serve Him Right

It’s Friday afternoon. Things should be easy, breezy, with everyone in the house feeling blissed out and ready for the weekend! But unfortunately, that’s far from the case in the Johnson-East household. Why? Because retired football player Andrew East made the unconscionable decision to disregard his wife Shawn Johnson’s motherly advice.
Johnson shared a reel on Instagram that shows what happens “when my husband tells me both kids are sobbing on the floor after he ignored my advice to cut their sandwiches into triangles and not squares.”

In the video, East comes running up to the Olympic gold medalist, freaking out and pointing to the other room. She looks so unbothered, and annoyed, and makes no moves to get up.
It then jumps to a clip from Brooklyn 99 of Ray Holt. “I don’t know why you’re telling me,” the police captain said slowly, bringing a piece of gum to his mouth. “I’m not involved. You made that very clear.”

Followers were cracking up, flooding the comments with more laughing emojis than we’ve ever seen. Because, yup! Serves him right. He should have known that his kids — Drew, 3 and Jett, 2 — are Team Triangle. Or, at the very least, he should’ve listened to his wife when she told him this critical piece of information.
We don’t know what to tell you, East. You made your bed. And your sandwich squares.
“When will they ever learn and listen??? 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️” one follower asked.
The last time there was a “serves him right” moment with this soon-to-be family of five was in September when the couple’s “friends” made the outrageous decision to give Jett a recorder. A RECORDER. Those people are not friends. They are villains who want to see Johnson and East lose their sanity. One off-pitch screech at a time.
So what did the couple do in retaliation? They gifted a drum set to their supposed friends’ kids. That’s about as close as you can get to perfect revenge as possible while still being merciful. Of course, the perfect revenge is to give the other kids one right back, but Johnson and East clearly had some compassion left in them. Even if their ears were bleeding.
Honestly, East, you should feel lucky that all you’re getting is the side eye. Johnson could very easily grab the recorder from whichever cabinet it’s hidden in, hand it to a hangry Jett, and run away.
