Shawn Johnson Is Every Mom With Anxiety in a Cute New Video & It's Too Funny

As a mom with anxiety, I know what it’s like to go the extra mile to ensure your child’s safety. Shawn Johnson — literally — did this for her kids Drew, 3, and Jett, 2, and the video is so funny.

Johnson’s husband Andrew East decided to take the kids on an “adventure” today: biking to school. “New adventure today!!! Andrew biked the kids to school (just like Papa always did),” the Olympic gold medalist wrote on her Instagram Story. The next photo showed the kids in a little covered ride-on attached to East’s bicycle.

This sounds so sweet and fun, right? Except for Johnson was apparently extremely anxious about her toddlers riding on the back of their dad’s bike…because she hopped in her car and followed them the whole way.

“Me. Hazards on,” she wrote over a picture she took from the driver’s seat of her car, showing East pulling the kids just in front of her. “Following behind hahahahahaha working on the best routes since Nashville doesn’t have sidewalks.”

So they have to travel on a busy street to school in the middle of heavy traffic? Just the picture is giving me anxiety! Yes, I would 100% be following in my car, too. It takes one aggressive or distracted driver and those babies would be so seriously hurt. Maybe I’m not the right person to ask, but I think this is absolutely the only way to let your toddlers go on this type of an adventure!

Johnson also shared a video of East biking the kids, explaining that a slight mishap happened during the trip (because why wouldn’t it?!).

“Hahahahahahaha his electric bike charge died in the first 5-10 minutes,” Johnson wrote over the video. “He’s WORKIN. 23 minutes total to school! GOOD JOB DADDY!”

Yikes! Those kids are going to be late for sure. At least East got his workout in!

The gymnast is currently pregnant with baby number 3, and it’s safe to say their house is pretty chaotic. Last month, she shared a funny video showing what happens “when my husband tells me both kids are sobbing on the floor after he ignored my advice to cut their sandwiches into triangles and not squares.”

When the former football player rushed to his wife for help, she just gave him the side eye (as she should!). Seriously, what’s with men and these wild ideas?!
