Sharon Osbourne Debuted a Dramatic Hair Transformation After Two Decades of Red

Sharon Osbourne just kissed her famous rich maroon hair color goodbye – and she's embracing her natural color as a result.

The 67-year-old has been maintaining the deep red shade for nearly two decades, which has required her to undergo weekly touch-ups to keep it looking fresh. Now, she's made the major decision to forego the vibrant cherry for a drastic change: a sparkling, snowy white.

Sharon has 100% white hair and she was coloring her hair once a week dark vibrant red for the past 18 years. she explained to me that she wanted to do this transformation long time ago but every time she attempts it ends up with a disaster. Sharon was very tired of coloring her hair once a week and she was obligated to since she is on tv almost every day hosting her popular tv show @thetalkcbs . I didn’t promise Sharen anything but I told her I will try my best, it took me a total of 8 hours from start to finish to get her to a platinum blonde so she doesn’t have to be committed to coloring her hair once a week anymore. When Osbourne made the decision to ditch the color, she went to celebrity colorist Jack Martin to help bring her new vision to life.

"Sharon has 100% white hair and she was coloring her hair once a week dark vibrant red for the past 18 years," Martin captioned a side-by-side view of Sharon's hair, before and after. Osbourne has famously worn her short-cropped crimson locks in the same hue for such a long time, it's practically become a part of her – but now, she has the freedom to take on her hosting duties and other opportunities without having to undergo color treatments so often.

Sharon's daughter Kelly is no stranger to changing up her hair color, either. She's famously shown off rainbow-hued tendrils over the years, up to and including pink and black as well as light lilac colors. Now, if Sharon decides she's tired of her classic white style, she can go practically anywhere from here, in terms of new shades.

For now, it's time for Sharon to embrace her natural color, though. And from the look of things, she's absolutely loving it.
