Shark-themed Cruises Are Here to Help You Celebrate Shark Week All Summer Long

Good news, shark fans. We found a bigger boat.

People wait all year for the most exciting week on television: Shark Week. Last year, the Phelps vs. Shark special event drew thousands of shark fans to their TV screens. Some even held special viewing parties.

This year, Princess Cruises is dialing up the excitement by dedicating a cruise package to the event.

The Summer of Shark cruise package, a Shark Week-themed extravaganza for Discovery Channel fans, will include advanced screenings of this year’s Shark Week programming, plus shark-themed restaurants, decor, activities, and even some cocktails like the Shark Attack Margarita.

The seven-day cruise route will run from June to September on the Caribbean Princess, with both eastern and western Caribbean itineraries. Many routes leave from Fort Lauderdale and begin at a price point of $450 per person. Two-week cruises begin at $1,098 per person.

Princess’ Alaska ships will also be hosting Shark Week cruises from July 15-25, sailing round-trip from San Francisco starting at $433 per person for a seven-day trip (on sale). Travelers in Europe can also board Sapphire Princess voyages from July 7-21 and July 21-Aug. 8 for their own two-week shark cruises, which travel from the U.K. to Scandinavia to St. Petersburg, Russia, and then back to Southampton.

More information about the Shark Week cruises can be found on the Princess Cruises website.
