NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal is bringing his newly opened chicken restaurant to the sea via Carnival Cruise Line. Carnival recently announced their recently revamped Carnival Radiance ship will include O’Neal’s Big Chicken restaurant and will set sail in the spring of 2020.

The first Big Chicken opened in Las Vegas in late October of this year. In anticipation of the opening, O'Neal started a reality TV show, Big Chicken Shaq, on Facebook Watch dedicated to starting up his restaurant. The 46-year-old said opening the restaurant has always been a goal of his, and all the recipes are based on his own.

“Big Chicken has been a dream of mine and now that our land-based restaurant is open, it’s only natural to bring it to sea, as well,” said O’Neal in a statement. “I’m really excited that Carnival Radiance guests will be able to enjoy my own delicious creations alongside burgers and BBQ from Guy Fieri and the other great food offerings on board.”

As far as the menu goes, there is an array of fried chicken favorites (including chicken sandwiches) inspired by the plethora of clever nicknames Shaq has for himself. For instance, at the current location you can chose from a “Shaq Daddy” or the ambitiously named "Big Aristotle."

The restaurant will also offer breakfast which includes choices like chicken and egg biscuits. Vacationers also don’t have to worry about paying extra, as it’s included in the price of cruise, and service will be a breeze as they can pick their items up right away.

In January of this year, Carnival Cruise Lines named O’Neal the “Chief Fun Officer” for the brand, so this isn't his first collaboration with the cruise company.

In its inaugural 2020 season, the Carnival Radiance's maiden voyage will be a 10-day Mediterranean stretch sailing from Barcelona departing April 29, 2020. It will also feature a barbecue restaurant from Food Network star Guy Fieri.
