Shaq Created An Extra Large Pizza With Extra Toppings At Papa John's For A Good Cause
We love a celebrity food collab just as much as the next guy, so Shaq teaming up with Papa John's to create a huge pizza is amazing news. The "Shaq-a-Roni" is an extra large pizza with even more toppings than usual. Further proof that bigger is better, guys!
The XL pizza is made with Papa John's famous six-ingredient dough, which is then topped with extra cheese and extra pepperoni. It's even cut into the largest slices Papa John's has ever offered.
Not only is the pizza a big upgrade from a typical pie, but each sale will also contribute to a good cause. Shaq is a Papa John's board member and franchise owner, and he wanted his pizza innovation to give back.
He said in a press release:
It was important to me for the Shaq-a-Roni to be bigger than just pizza. By giving my new pie a try, one dollar will be donated to The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community to support COVID-19 relief, the fight against racial injustice, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, UNCF (United Negro College Fund) and general community involvement.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Shaq is unable to deliver these pizzas to fans himself, but Papa John's put together an augmented reality feature on every pizza box. Those who order the Shaq-a-Roni can open Snapchat and point their camera at the box for a three-dimensional surprise. You can order Shaq-a-Roni pies through August 23.
