Shannon Weight Loss Center talks about sleeve gastrectomy

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Toyha Harper from the Shannon Weight Loss Center talked about the sleeve gastrectomy procedure, a fairly common procedure meant to reduce weight.

The procedure takes about 45 minutes and patients are usually sent home the same day. The post-operative care includes going on a clear liquid diet for two days, then advancing to a full liquid diet for fourteen days after the surgery. Between days 10 and 14 after the procedure, patients will revisit Toyha and discuss their health post-surgery. After fourteen days, patients will slowly progress their diet back to normal.
