From Smith & James... Jisun and Pieter’s nuptials in Paris were just as romantic and refined as all notions of wedding in the City of Love might be: a black-tie affair beneath carved gilded ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Dinner was prepared by a Michelin-star chef and enjoyed by candlelight. The couple was so very thoughtful in each choice and selection for their big day, prioritizing spoiling their guests at every turn.

From their gold-foil invitation suite by Amber Moon Design to their menu selection, they treated every decision with such care. It was a beautiful way to honor their love story and their loved ones at the same time. Jisun’s dress was a stunning piece from Ersa Atelier embellished with lace and intricate beadwork.

Her bouquet was a gathering of white peony and garden roses. Pieter met her for their first look in the garden of the Shangri La Paris. It was such a lovely and emotional moment. The ceremony in the historic Grand Salon of the Shangri La was breathtaking. Many of the couples' friends are professional musicians, so the day was full of performances from operatic solos to duets of incredible singers and displays on the piano.

Afterward, guests mingled and enjoyed cocktails on the Salon de Famille and it’s perfectly appointed terrace as the sun went down. Dinner was accompanied by a jazz swing band. Guests dined on foie gras terrine, risotto with squid and prawns, and roasted duck.

Their first dance was to "Unforgettable" after which there was a display of sparklers and applause as the staff presented the couple with a traditional French croquembouche wedding cake. They ended the evening by stealing a kiss on a balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower, then returning to their guests to celebrate on the terrace until late into the evening.
