If you're a true crime fan, you've probably tuned into Netflix's latest documentary, American Murder: The Family Next Door. It's a chilling account of the case of a missing Colorado mom and her two young girls. The true crime doc uses tons of original footage Shanann Watts captured and shared on Facebook of her family—right up to the final hours before she and her daughters, Celeste and Bella, were murdered.

The documentary chronicles the many twists and turns that develop following Shanann and the girls' disappearance, which soon leads the police to question her husband, Chris Watts, about his role in their murders. But the film also uses many of Shanann's Facebook videos to paint a picture of the Watts family's seemingly happy life together.

Up until her disappearance, Shanann filmed and shared her day-to-day life on the Facebook page in incredible detail. Two years later, her account is active. It's memorialized with all her many posts and videos frozen in time.

Candid clips, like this one of the girls singing, are truly heartbreaking.

The top of the page reads: "We hope people who love Shanann will find comfort in visiting her profile to remember and celebrate her life."

The videos tab is filled with phone-shot clips of family birthday parties, vlogging style check-ins, and a few work updates. They're all public, too. You can click and watch hours of clips to dive deeper in Shanann's backstory, if you're curious. Many are as short as 20 seconds and others are a few minutes.
