Shakira Swaps Towering Heels for Air Jordans to Perform at Times Square

Shakira was spotted in two pairs of eye-catching shoes on Wednesday during her visit to New York City. In town to promote her first album release after a seven-year hiatus, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” the star first donned a pair of Amina Muaddi Yigit platform stiletto boots and later changed to Air Jordan 13 Retro sneakers to perform at Times Square.
A fan of the the Amina Muaddi heels, Shakira was seen sporting the same style at the “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” album release party on March 21 and during her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on March 25.

About the Shoes
The black leather shoes feature a 6-inch stiletto heel and angled platform base. Additionally, the sculptural mid-calf booties are crafted with a pointed-toe silhouette and skin-tight fit.
Shakira in Air Jordan 13 Retro Sneakers
During her live performance at TSX In Times Square, Shakira donned a pair of Air Jordan 13 Retro sneakers, which featured a glittery panel. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer has been known to add a bit of sparkle to her footwear choices.
About the Shoes
Released in 2020, the all-black sneaker features specks of reflective gold glitter throughout the mid-foot, collar and heel. Additionally, the shoe features a leather upper, a Phylon midsole and a rubber sole.
The Jordan brand is known for its wide range of high-performance basketball footwear, like the ones worn by Shakira during her performance.
