Shakira received the coveted Video Vanguard Award at the 2023 MTV VMAs this week— and she made a stunning and sparkling appearance on the pink carpet for her momentous occasion!

The “Acróstico” singer, 46, showcased a glamorous and daring style in a glittery, gold Versace dress. The number featured sultry side cut-outs that highlighted her toned abs and tiny waist, and a backless design.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker paired her frock with Piferi platform heels while posing for photos by herself and later with her two sons; Milan, 10 and Sasha, 8 (whom she shares with ex Gerard Piqué).

As for her glam, Shakira wore her signature dirty blonde tresses down, parted in the center and styled into effortlessly elegant waves. For her makeup look, the "Whenever, Wherever" songwriter went for black winged liner, voluminous lashes, rosy blush on her high cheekbones and a mauve pink lipstick.

To dazzle up her ensemble even more, the style icon added shiny, silver dangly earrings and rings. Her children later joined her on the carpet, donning matching black and yellow tracksuits and sneakers.

Shakira had a successful night at the awards ceremony, not only taking home the Video Vanguard Award but also winning the Best Collaboration award for her work on "TQG" with Karol G.

Her victory in the Video Vanguard category was particularly noteworthy, as she became the first South American artist to achieve this honor.

The crowd showed their appreciation for Shakira's talents by giving her a standing ovation after she performed a stunning 10-minute medley of her biggest hits.

During the performance, Shakira showcased her versatility and range with various renditions of her popular songs, including "She Wolf" performed inside a tunnel, "Te Felicito" accompanied by backup dancers, and a lively drum circle for "TQG" that led into a fiery guitar solo by the artist herself.

She even incorporated a brief knife dance into the routine before treating the audience to a performance of her iconic tracks "Whenever, Wherever" and "Hips Don't Lie."

Shakira concluded her electrifying set by crowd-surfing during "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53," making her way toward a platform that lifted her high into the air.

Upon receiving the esteemed Video Vanguard Award, Shakira humbly took to the stage to express her gratitude towards her family, fans, and colleagues in a brief yet heartfelt speech. "I want to thank my parents and my kids, Milan and Sasha, who are here," she said.

She added: "Thank you so much for cheering me up and making me feel like Mama can do it all, especially, I want to share this award with my fans who always, always support me through thick and thin. Thank you so much for being my army and helping me fight all my battles. Este es para mi gente."
