Shake Shack Is Giving Away Free Fries Every Friday This Month

It’s been a hot fry-deal summer.

If you’re looking to get your hands on a smash burger, Shake Shack is one of the best places to go. From classic burgers to more adventurous variations, the fast-casual burger chain has you covered. But it’s got more to offer than just burgers and the eponymous shakes. The brand also slings classic crinkle-cut fries. And for the rest of August, you’ll be able to end the workweek on a salty, pillowy potato-filled note with free fries.

The burger chain announced the deal last Friday, but you’ve still got four Fridays to take advantage—the offer is good through September 1. And while the best things in life are free, there is a catch. You need to spend $10 in order to get the free fry add-on. To get the deal, you’ll need to order through the chain’s website, its mobile app, or use a kiosk if you’re ordering in-store. To redeem the offer, you’ll need to enter the code “FRYDAY.”

The deal applies only to the classic fries. If you’re a fan of the spicy fries or one of the cheese-fry options, you’ll need to count that towards your $10 minimum. On the plus side, though, it’s a decent deal. Usually, the classic fries would cost you around $4, and if you get a single cheeseburger and shake, you’re already over that $10 minimum.

This deal from Shake Shack is just the latest French fry deal this summer. McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King have all promoted their own free fry deals at various times over the past few months. We’re not complaining. The more free fries, regardless of their style, the better. Just know when it comes to Shake Shack fries, we’ll be dipping them in a vat of Shake Sauce.
