Shailene Woodley Wore Bright Pink—And a Huge Hat—For Kentucky Derby Date With Aaron Rodgers

Big Little Lies star Shailene Woodley looked gorgeous in a bright pink ensemble while attending the Kentucky Derby with her fiancé, Aaron Rodgers, on Saturday, May 1.

Woodley and Rodgers posed with other friends for a group picture posted on Instagram by Keleigh Sperry Teller, wife of Woodley's The Spectacular Now costar Miles Teller. All the girls in the group, it looks like, decided to match in shades of pink, while Miles rocked a salmon suit by Paul Smith.

Woodley, in pants and a vest, complemented her own suit with a large translucent hat. Gotta keep the sun off your face! Rodgers, too, sported a hat to match his own dark suit

A week before the event, Rodgers posted a series of throwback photos of himself and friends at derbies over the years, mentioning how much he missed and was looking forward to the event. He wrote, “I can’t wait to get back to Churchill Downs for the @KentuckyDerby on May 1. Always one of my favorite events, and can’t wait to see fans back in the stands.”

Back in February, Shailene Woodley revealed that running was an integral part of what drew her to Rogers. But not humans or horses running. No, it was her dog who wanted to play with the quarterback. “When I first met him, I think my dog, like, pulled me aside and was like, ‘If you don’t date this dude, I will disown you as my mother, because the three feet that I run with you when you throw a ball is nothing compared to the marathon I’m able to run with him,’” she told Jimmy Fallon. “We met during this wacky, wacky time and all the stadiums were closed that he was playing in, so I have yet to go to a football game. I didn’t really grow up with sports, especially American sports. It was never really on my radar. When we met, also, I knew he was a football guy, but I didn’t know, like, what kind of a football guy he was. And I’m still constantly learning.”
