  • Shailene Woodley is on vacation in Morocco right now, and things look like they're going pretty well...except for a little injury she posted a photo of on her Instagram.

  • As the actress ices her ankle, she enjoys the hot sun, showing off her sculpted abs in bikini bottoms and a tank top.

  • Shailene is all about finding a good balance between mental and physical health.

Shailene Woodley is living life and sunbathing in Morocco. Well, with one catch. It seems she had a little snafu on vacay that has her icing her ankle. But don't worry. She's still lying out in the sun, looking super happy.

“Morocco, you’re incredible, but your tiny little 3 [inch] sneaky hidden steps everywhere are a real bitch,” Shailene captioned a photo of her moment in the sun. The actress is wearing black string bikini bottoms, a white tank top, and a lovely straw hat while she ices an injured ankle.

Her friends and fans were quick to post their well wishes for the star in the comments.

“Hilarious love to see a good sense of humor!!! hope u get better soon❤️,” wrote one follower. Another added, “I'm icing my ankle now too. But more jealous of your environment ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” I mean, same.

Despite the injury, Shailene is looking so happy and glowy in the photo. It seems that a little vacation time has done her some good!

While Shailene doesn't talk much about her workout routines these days, the actress has been known to be super dedicated to her workout routines when prepping for films. I mean have you seen Divergent?

Fight coordinator J.J. Perry shared more of the details behind her Divergent routine with Women's Health back in 2016: She would warm up with some cardio, including jogging and jumping rope, then kept her heart rate up by hitting and kicking punching bags.

Perry also incorporated strength moves to help her tone her muscles and keep her strong. "I made it like a basic training," he said. Shailene and her co-stars did squats (back-to-back with their arms linked) and squat kicks (aiming at each other's feet). "It teaches you that when you get fatigued, you need to still not hit each other," says Perry.

To get those rock-hard abs, Shailene and a partner would link legs and do crunches or create a sit-up chain. Burpees were also a staple exercise. Shailene also worked her core and her arms by doing different variations of pull-ups and pushups. "Her work ethic is what got her through it, and I was not easy on them," Perry said.

In April 2020, Shailene told The New York Times that she was very sick while shooting those films, and she told The Hollywood Reporter that she said no to a lot of projects at the time because of the “debilitating” illness.

“I definitely suffered a lot more than I had to because I didn’t take care of myself," she told The Hollywood Reporter.

She added: “It spun me out for a while. You feel so incredibly isolated and alone. Unless someone can see that you have a broken arm or a broken leg, it’s really difficult for people to relate to the pain that you’re experiencing when it’s a silent, quiet and invisible pain.”

Now, though, Shailene has shared that she is doing much better, especially after focusing on the connection between her mental and physical health.

"It wasn't until I started recognizing those habits and addressing them that I was able to change my perspective on mental health to a point where my physical ailments went away," she told Harper's Bazaar. "I have to take care of how much energy I am constantly consuming and putting out."

Happy to see you taking a much-needed vacation Shailene!
