Prepare your burning questions accordingly, because the return of Sex Education, and our favorite student sex therapist, is rapidly approaching. The hit Netflix series, which is deserving of multiple viewings, is slated to return in 2020 and while we're not entirely sure what hijinks await Otis and his friends in the new season, a new set of teaser images does provide some clues.
Before we dive into our hopes for possible plotlines and get to analyzing these images, we do have some confirmed information on the new season to share. According to TVLine, the second chapter will focus on Otis attempting to "master his newly discovered sexual urges in order to progress with his girlfriend Ola, whilst also dealing with his now strained relationship with Maeve. Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a Chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex ed at the school. Also, new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo."
Phew, that certainly sounds like a lot to pack in, and as brand new teaser images from the return show, we're definitely in for a treat. In the first image, we have Otis and Eric teaming up for what looks to be an outdoor adventure that neither of them looked properly prepared for, and in the second Maeve and Aimee are at the police station for what will surely be the best moment of the season. We're officially hoping that maybe it all somehow ties together for one major episode that has Otis and Eric journeying through the forest, and relying on Maeve and Aimee to help them out of some kind of a jam.
Other images include Adam arriving at military school and looking totally miserable, plus another epic collaboration that apparently goes down between our new favorite besties, Ola and Lily. Who knows, maybe Ola is helping Lily complete a new chapter in her continuing science fiction series.
As fun as it is to predict what might happen, we've learned through watching that Sex Education always keeps us guessing. And while we're hopeful that Otis will make it out unscathed from his woodland adventure, one can never be too sure of anything on this show.
