New Series in the Works at Netflix From the Mind Behind Peaky Blinders

The mind behind Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight, has announced his next project, and he's setting his sights on the Irish tale of the famous Guinness family for Netflix.

House of Guinness will tell the epic story of the famous dynasty behind the popular beverage.

Set across Dublin and New York City in the 19th Century, the series follows the aftermath of the death of Benjamin Guinness and the impact of his legacy on his four children.

Steven Knight said, "The Guinness dynasty is known the world over – wealth, poverty, power, influence, and great tragedy are all intertwined to create a rich tapestry of material to draw from. I've always been fascinated by their stories and am excited to bring the characters to life for the world to see."

Vice-President of Content for Netflix UK, Anne Mensah, said, "We are beyond thrilled to be working with Kudos and the incredible Steven Knight to bring the story of the Guinness Family to Netflix audiences. It has all the power of Peaky Blinders but the scale and the sweep of a true family saga. Set in the UK and the US, we cannot wait to see this realised."

The Academy Award-nominated Knight is known for his busy schedule, with many projects currently underway, including Star Wars: New Jedi Order, a Peaky Blinders film and four other series.

Further information about House of Guinness is yet to be revealed, but if the success of Peaky Blinders is a measure of what to expect, audiences will want to keep an eye on this project as it develops.
