Three days after her controversial US Open loss in which an umpire gave her three (questionable) violations, Serena Williams sat down with Australian news program The Sunday Project and said she and Meghan Markle had been talking about the whole thing.

"We were actually just texting each other this morning," she said.

Then the interviewer made a great point and said she can't think of two women in the world that have more media scrutiny on them at this moment. Tbh, fair.

"Right?" Serena said. "I would definitely agree.... We have known each other for a long time, but we really are relying on each other a lot recently."

The two reportedly became friends in 2010, and not only did Serena watch Prince Harry play polo when she was in England this summer, but Meghan made it to her match at Wimbledon. Plus, Serena was one of the lucky few who got to go to the royal wedding, which she said was lovely.

"The whole service was really wonderful and most of all I just wanted to see my friend be happy and I think that's what happened," she said.

And her outfit was fire, just in case anyone forgot.

And she wore sneakers to the reception, so like, she wins wedding guest of the year because that is a baller move.
