Many congratulations to the happy couple! Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian got married at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, and their guest list was pretty incredible.

The wedding happened just 11 weeks after Williams gave birth to her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian. The tennis star and Reddit co-founder announced their engagement on December 2016, over a year after beginning their relationship in May 2015.

The two met in Rome, when Ohanian sat at a table next to Williams (one of Williams’ friends claimed she spotted a rat in the area to get him to go away, because our BFFs are our greatest protectors even when it’s sometimes not necessary). From there, Ohanian watched Williams play a tennis match and instantly became a fan. While speaking with Vanity Fair, Ohanian stated that he knew she was the one in April 2016. “I felt like a door had been opened to a person who made me want to be my best self,” he said.

The two went public with their relationship in November 2016 by posting a Halloween photo together. Both wore bear-related costumes, which is probably why Williams captioned the photo “bear necessities.” This was the first time people linked them as possibly being together, so it came as a shock when they announced their engagement a month later. Shortly after that, Williams announced her pregnancy.

With a history as sweet as theirs, we can imagine that their wedding was magical. The night before the big event, the two reportedly celebrated with a rehearsal dinner at Emeril Lagasse‘s restaurant Meril. Celebrities like Selita Ebanks, Cynthia Erivo, and Colton Haynes dined with the couple.

At the wedding, stars like Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and Eva Longoria made sure to honor their friend with their attendance.

And that’s not all — TMZ reports that Kelly Rowland, Ciara, La La Anthony also celebrated with the couple last night.

Prior to walking down the aisle, Williams got a shout-out from her coach, who had nothing but kind things to say about the couple.

These two seem like the real deal, and we wish them nothing but many happy years together.
