Serena Williams Escapes the Cold to Go ‘Island Hopping’ in Black Swimsuit With Daughter

Serena Williams is beating winter blues by hopping into a warmer climate—literally.
In new fun photos shared via Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 23, the tennis legend seemed to be having a whale of a time while beating cold winter climates to opt for a bit more warmth—and what better way to do that than jetting off to the tropics?
The four-image social media gallery depicted the Olympic gold medalist sporting a black swimsuit, while her 6-year-old daughter Olympia, for her part, rocked a pink floral long-sleeved wetsuit for the excursion.
The mother-daughter duo can be seen jumping high together while attempting to get a photo, also showcasing the process behind the captures in another video clip shared.
"It may be winter, but we found some heat 🏝️Island Hopping," the retired pro athlete captioned the joyous post.
Fans flooded into the comment section with reactions to both the newly-minted mom of two's athleticism, as well as notes about how much the young girl has grown.
"Beautiful mommy and daughter moments. ❤️❤️❤️," one said, as another agreed, "Why yall [sic] got the same shadow??😂😂 #twins."
"Wow Olympia is getting tall!!" a third noticed.
"Since you can jump, go jump back on that court! We miss you Rena," another admitted of the sports star.
Williams first announced her retirement from professional, competitive tennis in Aug. 2022 in a Vogue profile, later sharing that she was expecting her second child with husband Alexis Ohanian at the 2023 Met Gala on May 1. The couple then welcomed their new addition, daughter Adira, in August of last year.
