Serena Williams's Daughter Steals Hearts After Applauding During Tennis Match

It’s clear that Serena Williams’s daughter is already picking up on some of the key components of sportsmanship, as she was recently seen cheering on both Serena and her sister, Venus, at a tennis match in Abu Dhabi.

According to an Instagram video posted by Serena’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, their 1-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia had a blast watching Serena and Venus compete against one another — which you can plainly see as she applauds both athletes, while wearing an adorable Burberry dress. “She clapped for every point — whether it was mama @serenawilliams or auntie @venuswilliams,” Ohanian wrote in his caption. Venus also shared the video on her Instagram Story, writing: “I’m @olympiaohanian’s favorite player.”

Fans were quick to comment on Ohanian's video, describing the clip as "the cutest thing" and "simply adorable." One fan wrote: "I just keep replaying this. The way her eyes follow the ball too! She doesn’t miss a thing," while another added: "I'm in love she is absolutely DARLING."

People reports that Serena ultimately lost the match against Venus, but it’s obvious that Olympia’s energy made her day nonetheless. While talking with Sport360, Serena explained: “That’s a classy baby, you know, she applauds both mommy and my opponent who happened to be her auntie. That was the highlight, seeing her clap, it was so cute.”

And this is just the latest in sweet mother-daughter moments for the athlete and her baby. Earlier this year, Serena shared a photo of Olympia rocking a black long-sleeved Nike T-shirt and matching tutu — just like her tennis-playing mama. We have a feeling that there’s many more adorable moments ahead for the pair, and our hearts are ready for any and all future melting.
