Serena & Lily’s Holiday House Is Packed With Decorating Inspiration

Serena & Lily recently debuted their inaugural Holiday House, a series of festive installations across 16 design shops. Each designer features a unique holiday experience, ranging from Palm Beach pastels to European influences to California Christmases—resulting in sunny sitting rooms, festive dining rooms, and welcoming guest rooms.
The seasonal installation will be on view at Serena & Lily's design shops from now through the new year. You can also view all of the rooms (and products used) on their website.
Serena & Lily recently debuted its second annual “Holiday House,” which features a series of installations in five design shops across the U.S. Though it’s not a traditional home, designers like Meg Braff and Barbara Brosnan put their unique spin on holiday rooms using Serena & Lily products—and it’s giving us major interior design inspiration.
From a maximalist living room featuring monochrome floor-to-ceiling fabric and wicker animal heads to a cozy bedroom inspired by winter walks outside, there’s truly something for every holiday design aesthetic. We can’t wait to copy some of these looks in our own homes!
Twelve Chairs: Chestnut Hill, MA Design Shop
This regal bedroom designed by Twelve Chairs Interiors was inspired by a walk in the woods. Thanks to plenty of forest-hued tones and a beautifully fabricated canopy bed, this bedroom is an enchanting place to cozy up all winter long. We especially love the mix of textures and patterns from the seagrass rug, gingham duvet cover, green linen canopy fabric, sheepskin throw and grasscloth wall covering. The subtle curves of the slipper chair, mixed with more contemporary pieces, like the lacquered coffee table, add visual interest.
Beach Bungalow Designs: Del Mar, CA Design Shop
Beach Bungalow Designs aimed to create a casual coastal wonderland where friends and family could gather during the holidays. Warm textures and natural materials from a subtle striped rug, linen ottoman, green artichoke-patterned swivel chairs and natural greenery give the space some California-inspired holiday flair. Hammered brass gold side tables and a trio of honeycomb pendants add a dose of festive glamour.
Barbara Brosnan: Main Line, PA Design Shop
Designer Barbara Brosnan took inspiration from stories of wild parties at her grandmother's Main Line house in the '60s and '70s to create a sitting room that reflects a time when people weren't afraid to use formal spaces for their holiday celebrations. A pleated skirt sofa and bold floral fabric conjure a sense of nostalgia, while a green glasscloth wallcovering, beaded chandelier, fossilized side table, rattan bar cart and natural rug help keep things from feeling too fussy.
Meg Braff Designs: Palm Beach, FL Design Shop
Designer Meg Braff created a maximalist winter wonderland with monochromatic fabric on the walls, ceiling, furniture and draperies. A tasseled sofa, wavy mirror, wicker giraffe heads, rattan palm tree floor lamps and a trio of circular ceiling pendants add tropical holiday whimsy. To keep things from feeling too busy, the designer anchored the room with a natural rug that feels right at home in Palm Beach.
GLDESIGN: Westport, CT Design Shop
GLDESIGN's Gaelle Dudley designed a coastal bedroom infused with the magic of Christmas morning, thanks to a fresh evergreen garland and wreaths above the beds. The serene storybook bedroom features matching twin beds that bookend a fireplace. Raffia task sconces and celestial wallpaper-dotted bookshelves make for perfect reading companions, while gingham duvets up the cozy factor.
