The "After" Sequel "After We Collided" Is Done Filming

We're one step closer to the After sequel, After We Collided.

Just a little over a month after it was formally announced that Dylan Sprouse had joined the cast of the One Direction fanfic-turned-book series-turned-movies, the actor shared with his Instagram followers that filming has officially wrapped.

"Congrats to the @aftermovie cast and crew for wrapping the shoot! Bringing fucking Trevor to life on screen was a joy even if I look pissed here. Excited for you all to see the work we did and check the film when it’s released at some secret time in some secret future," he wrote in the caption to his post, where he can be seen in full Trevor costume alongside costar Josephine Langford, who plays Tessa.

The official film account confirmed that filming was finished, sharing a photo of Josephine with her costar Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, exclaiming "It's a wrap!" as they slap the clapperboards shut. "And that’s a wrap on #AfterWeCollidedMovie 💜 thank you all for getting us here and supporting and loving this franchise. It’s all because of you 💜," the account wrote.

After and its sequel are based on novels based on viral One Direction fanfiction by writer Anna Todd. They were first shared with fans on Wattpad, and then turned into a 5-book series. The first movie was released in April of 2019, and a sequel was announced in May. Hero Fiennes-Tiffin plays Tessa's main love interest, Hardin, a Harry Styles-esque bad boy with "a dark secret," and Dylan plays her coworker Trevor, one of Tessa's love interests.

While there's no firm release date for After We Collided, it seems likely the sequel will be released in 2020, so we won't have to wait too long to see how Dylan brings "F*cking Trevor" to life onscreen.
