Senior Labrador Retriever Has the Sweetest Way of Greeting Mom at the Front Door

Even though every dog has a personality that's one in a million, some experiences of dog ownership are universally enjoyed. Watching their zoomies, for example, could make anyone smile, but nothing tops coming home to your dog and getting the greeting of a lifetime.

As Dukey the Labrador Retriever's owner will tell you, those greetings only get more special as a dog gets older. The sweet senior Lab knew his mama was right outside, and he met her at the door in the sweetest way! On October 7, she shared the pup's heartfelt hello on his TikTok page, @mydukeydalesandro637, and he's already melted 2 and a half million hearts!

Aww! Dukey is the sweetest senior dog, and he still lives by the motto 'go big or go home' well into his golden years. Whether he's picking up the laundry or offering a gift, he does it with all his heart. Besides, Mom deserves the best greeting a dog could give, don't you think?

It's clear how much Dukey's mom loves him, but it's so much fun to see all the commenters sending their love for the sweet ol' guy, too. Viewer @sallyyork1313 gushed, "his white face is so sweet, and his emotional support socks...I can't!" Neither can we! Dukey's purity and happiness are impossible to resist, and we wouldn't be mad if this dog's owner filmed her greetings every single day. We don't think they could ever get old!

As sweet as this old Retriever's sock-filled hello may be, it's not exactly shocking for many dog owners. After all, he's simply doing what Retrievers do best! Many of these dogs will instinctually put something in their mouths when excited, though we'd love to know how Dukey knew where to find the socks. He may be old, but he still has his tricks!
