Senior Dogs at Shelter Over 2 Years Need a Forever Home Before It's Too Late

Young at Heart Pets is a wonderful shelter dedicated to helping senior dogs find forever homes. The shelter, based out of Woodstock, Illinois, shared a beautiful video on October 31 introducing people to a pair of bonded dogs named Tommy and Gordon who are looking to be adopted.

Just look at these beautiful pups!

The TikTok account for @youngatheartpets explains that Tommy and Gordon are a bonded pair of 11-year-old hound mixes who spent the first years of their lives with one guardian, their dog mom, and their entire litter of siblings. That’s the only life they ever knew. A safe, happy, loving world full of two and four-legged family. But then their guardian died, leaving all of the dogs homeless. With rescues working together, all found safety, and Tommy, Gordon, and their dog mom Henrietta came to Young at Heart. We had to say goodbye to Henrietta several months after she arrived due to cancer. But Tommy and Gordon are still here, and they want a family.

This precious pair of bonded pups have been waiting over two years to get adopted and they don't understand why other dogs are being adopted and they have yet to find a forever home to give them the love they deserve.

TikTok users are in love with this sweet pair, and @Niki comments, "Best little buddies!! Hope they find a forever home!" @Unique adds, "It’s time for these babies to have a loving home. Please someone open your heart and home so they can be together."
