Senior Cat Sisters in Florida Need Loving Home After Elderly Owner Couldn't Care for Them

After watching so many heartbreaking videos of shelter animals looking sad and lonely, it can be easy to blame the people who put them in the shelter. In some cases, that blame is completely justified, but other times a sad situation just can't be avoided. Some pets are surrendered because their owners can't give them the care they need to thrive, and that's exactly what happened for one bonded pair of felines at the Humane Society of Broward County.

On November 22, Florida radio host Nikki spent some time with feline sisters Shiloh and Pumpkin, who were surrendered when their elderly owner became unable to care for them. That must've been such a difficult decision for the cats' previous owner to make, but she made a selfless choice. All that's left is to find the senior sisters the perfect home where they can thrive!

Aww, these kitty sisters are so beautiful! One is a gorgeous calico cat and the other has an orange and white coat, but they're both as sweet and joyful as can be. As their friends at @humanebroward mentioned in the video's description, they also love to play--so a home where they can use scratching posts is a must! Nikki also helped the sweet cats prove in the video that they'd love to have an owner who will give them plenty of affection.

This is the perfect time of year for the 10-year-old cats to go home with their forever person (or people!) for several reasons. November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month, and the holidays are such a joyful time to adopt a cat. Just prepare yourself for a few broken ornaments!

It may be an extra responsibility to bring home a bonded pair of cats, but the love they have for each other and their favorite people will make it all worthwhile. They're waiting Fort Lauderdale for the right person to find them, and my fingers are crossed that it happens soon!
