Another Senators executive 'on leave' after Jim Little firing
Just days after the public fallout went down between now-former Senators CEO Jim Little and owner Eugene Melnyk, reports of another executive casualty in Ottawa have surfaced.
Sources tell TSN that #Sens VP of Communications and Community Relations, PJ Loyello, is on leave. The Senators have yet to confirm anything since TSN initially inquired on Friday. (1/2)

While it is unclear if it is personal or work related, TSN has been told the organization took Loyello’s laptop and mobile phone last Wednesday, the same day that Jim Little was fired. Loyello was hired by Little on Jan.27 #Sens (2/2)

TSN’s Brent Wallace reported Monday that VP of communications and community relations, PJ Loyello, is on leave—and the team apparently took all of his stuff the same day Little was canned last week.
Like Little, Loyello’s tenure with the club looks to have lasted barely a minute.
Little was fired as Senators CEO last Wednesday after being hired by Melnyk less than eight weeks before. The Senators claimed that Little’s “conduct inconsistent with the core values of the Ottawa Senators and the National Hockey League,” was the reason for the decision. It was later reported by multiple outlets that Little blatantly called out the Sens owner for some of his incompetencies—something Melnyk clearly wasn’t very fond of.
The yelling between the two sides was apparently so loud that “everybody heard what was said.”
Little hired Loyello on January 27, 2020—exactly six weeks ago Monday.
