Amanza Smith is opening up about a painful heath experience. The Selling Sunset star took to social media to share that she's been hospitalized for an infection in her blood that spread to her spine.

In an Instagram video, set to "Titanium" by David Guetta (feat. Sia), Smith shared footage of herself in the hospital. In the caption, she revealed that she had been suffering from excruciating pain without knowing why for over a month. "I thought that I had a bulging disk or a slipped disc or something wrong with my lower back that was regular," she wrote.

After an urgent care visit that involved an MRI and CT scan, Smith was directed to Cedars-Sinai medical center in Los Angeles. She went there thinking she was going to get another scan and then return home. Instead, she was admitted for testing that resulted in the diagnosis of osteomyelitis, which is inflammation or swelling in the bones, in her spine. At first, doctors suspected that she had a tumor "because on an MRI, that’s what it looks like," she continued.

Smith noted that the whole journey has been scary, and that she quickly put together the update on day 10 of being in the hospital. She did so before heading into surgery, she wrote, "to have portions of the infection removed from my spine that weren’t getting any better by the antibiotics that I've been getting for 10 days now every four hours intravenously."

Smith ended the message by stating that she is in pain but hopeful that she'll fully recover. "Thank you to everyone at Cedars-Sinai for taking such good care of me," she added. "This, too shall pass."

Fans and friends alike flooded the comments on her post with messages of support. "Strongest woman I know," wrote Nicole Young, one of her Selling Sunset co-stars. "I love you and yes, this too shall pass. I cannot wait to see [you] NOT in excruciating pain."

Selling Sunset stars Mary Bonnet (Fitzgerald), Jason Oppenheim, and Brett Oppenheim have also shared photos on their Instagram stories of their visits to see Smith in the hospital.

In a video posted to Smith's Instagram story on June 13, she gave an update saying she's still in pain and hopes that the antibiotics will resolve the rest of her infection. If not, unfortunately, there's a chance she might have to undergo another risky surgery.
