Selena Gomez’s Dress Was So Complicated That She Couldn’t “F*cking Move” Last Night
Selena Gomez attended the Hollywood Beauty Awards last night.
She wore a dress from Patou but couldn’t move her arms the entire time.
It’s fashion week, baby! And even though Selena Gomez is far away from New York Fashion Week and out socializing in L.A., style never sleeps. But even though I’d trade my entire closet for Selena’s latest getup, it was apparently so finicky that she couldn’t even move in it.
Last night, after announcing the launch of her new Rare Beauty cosmetics line, Selena attended the 2020 Hollywood Beauty Awards to reminisce on all the strides the beauty industry has made in the past year. For the special occasion, Selena wore a blush-pink off-the-shoulder satin dress from Patou and super-high heels from Aquazzura. She looked stunning, but thanks to a fan account that got ahold of videos of Selena during the party, we know what a pain that dress was all night.
If you watch the vids, you can hear Selena joking and saying, “I can’t move my arms!” and “I can’t f*cking move.” And she wasn’t even exaggerating! When she tried to lift her glass to take a sip, she had to slump down in her seat and awkwardly lean back to bring her face to her cup because she couldn’t lift her arms.

Been there! And TBH, I’d still go back because I hope this trend never dies.
Selena’s beauty brand hasn’t launched yet, so it didn’t receive any honors, but that could all change once she drops the line this summer. If you’re all about the perfectly imperfect look, Selena’s line will probably be right up your alley. When she announced the news, she said, “I’ve stopped trying to be perfect. I just want to be me....I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to each other and to start embracing our uniqueness.”
