Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik Were Seen Kissing During Dinner Date in SoHo

Selena Gomez’s romance with the Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart may have quietly wrapped, but according to Entertainment Tonight, a new love story with musician Zayn Malik may be brewing. An eyewitness told the outlet that Zayn and Selena were seen on a dinner date in New York City on Thursday night.
“Selena and Zayn went out in SoHo in New York City last night at around 10:30 p.m.,” the source started. “They walked in holding hands and were kissing. Most restaurant staff and restaurantgoers didn’t notice them. It seemed like they were comfortable together and it was clear that it was a date.”
Rumors first sparked when TikTok user @klarissa.mpeg shared a viral video where she shared text screenshots from her hostess friend. The friend claimed that she saw Zayn and Selena at their dinner, making out and holding hands.
Neither Selena, Zayn, nor their reps have commented on the rumors. Zayn, of course, dated Gigi Hadid on and off for years and shares a daughter with her, 2-year-old Khai. Gigi and Zayn split up for good in October 2021.
Selena made it clear she was single on TikTok last week, posting herself lip-syncing to audio about how her dream guy didn’t exist. She mouthed along to, “I hate it when girls are like, ‘Oh my gosh, my crush doesn’t even know that I exist.’ Girl, my crush doesn’t even exist!”
In her caption, she wrote, “Still out here lookin’ for him lol.”
In late December, the last time a source gave an update on Selena’s love life before she was reported to be casually seeing Drew in January, an insider told Entertainment Tonight that Selena was hopeful about finding love.
“Selena is feeling positive and optimistic,” the source said. “She is open to dating.”
