Things are slowly getting back to “normal” enough for (some) live shows to happen again! Selena Gomez gave her first live, non-prerecorded performance of 2021 at the UEFA (UCL) Champions League final opening ceremony, alongside DJ Marshmello and Khalid. The performance took place at Estadio do Dragao Stadium in Porto, Portugal, where Manchester City played against Chelsea in the 66th European Cup final.

Selena Gomez lit up the stage with Marshmello as they performed a collab. She looked stunning (obviously) for her very first performance of 2021, donning a plunging black Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello bodysuit.

“Wolves,” the Selena and Marshmello collaboration that they performed, was originally released in 2017.

This has otherwise been a year of many virtual acceptance speeches, prerecorded performances, and a ton of social distancing. Last week, Selena accepted two awards at the Weibo Starlight Awards: the Starlight Hall of Fame and Favorite Collaboration (for “Ice Cream” with Blackpink).

“These awards are an amazing reminder of our ability to connect in this digital age and of how incredible my fans are around the world,” she said. “My fans in China and on Weibo have been with me through many stages of my life and have given me so much love and support through the ups and the downs. I am so grateful for all of that. A big thank you to Blackpink and everyone involved in the ‘Ice Cream’ project, Weibo, and, of course, my fans. I’m looking forward to when I can visit you in China. Bye, guys!”

Selena also stars in a new Hulu series alongside comedy legends Martin Short and Steve Martin, Only Murders in the Building. The teaser dropped on May 20 and it’s set to premiere on August 31.

Go, Selena, go!!
