Selena Gomez Wore Her Hair in Thick, Beachy Waves
Selena Gomez is often seen rocking thick, straight hair. While she’s been known to change up the length, it’s not nearly as often that the singer and actor deviates from her signature pin-straight style. But every once in a while, we’ll see Sel with beachy waves or gentle curls, and it always serves as a reminder that changing up your hairstyle can totally revamp your look — in the best way possible.
Case in point: Selena was recently photographed sporting thick, tousled waves, and the result is definitely worth emulating. On Friday, September 13, L.A.-based hairstylist Marissa Marino shared a ‘gram of Selena looking straight into the camera, her wavy, shoulder-length hair parted down the center. With minimal eye makeup, rosy cheeks, and the hint of gloss, Selena is the perfect embodiment of casual glam. “Natural beauty,” Marino captioned the ‘gram, crediting celebrity makeup artist Melissa Murdick in the tags.
When asked by a fan how she achieved those voluminous curls, Marino was quick to share her secrets. The stylist revealed that she used a 3/4 inch Marcel iron on Selena’s tresses — so I already know what I’m buying during my next Ulta trip.
