Selena Gomez Wears a Sheer Wedding Dress in New ‘Love On’ Music Video About Making Out in Paris

Selena Gomez is getting her “Love On.” A week after teasing her latest single on Instagram, Gomez has released a romantic new track with an equally sexy music video. And while the vodeo’s Parisian scenery is nothing to scoff at, we were a little distracted by all the people making out.

“Ooh, if you think about fallin’ / Got you covered likе garments,” the 31-year-old pop star sang as one nondescript couple kissed behind a clothesline. And while we can’t tell for sure if one half of the pairing is supposed to represent Gomez, something about that mop of curly hair is giving off Benny Blanco vibes.

Speaking of garments: Among Gomez’s multiple luxurious costumes was a sheer white dress straight out of Oscar de la Renta’s spring 2024 bridal collection. Don’t get too excited; the look’s tulle skirt and matching white hair bow probably just matched the aesthetic of her backup ballet dancers. Still, she could have worn an actual tutu for the moment…

According to a press release, “Love On” is “inspired by the months Selena spent in Paris last year,” though we can’t help but wonder how much Blanco influenced the lyrics about romantic rendezvous in the back of cars, bars, and the bathroom at The Bazaar.

While confirming their relationship in early December, Gomez told fans she had already been dating Blanco for six months, meaning they got together sometime in June. “Thank you Paris for being a home to me for two months! I loved every moment,” Gomez wrote on Instagram on June 23. “Working on this film has completely changed my life. I can’t wait to share more soon! Love you all.” Interesting timing!

While promoting the new song on Apple 1’s New Music Daily, Gomez briefly touched on her relationship with Blanco, whom she also collaborated with on the breakup track “Single Soon.”

“Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone that respects you,” she said on February 22, per People. “And I think it's really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I’d have to say overall it’s the safest that I feel and it’s been really lovely and I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”
