Selena Gomez escaped to Italy to celebrate her 27th birthday, and it’s safe to say she’s living her best dolce vita with a wardrobe to match. Sel’s vacation style has us ready to pack our bags, and her latest ‘gram shows she’s a true professional when it comes to unexpected pairings.

For a sunset jaunt on a gondola, Selena selected a vintage-inspired midi dress with a seriously plunging sweetheart neckline and voluminous statement sleeves — a peak Italian vacation moment if there ever was one. What may appear at first glance as a top and skirt is actually the dress’s best feature; an overblown floral print of lush roses in bloom tops a smattering of red polka-dots against a black background, taking this look from sweet to sultry in a matter of seconds.
