Selena Gomez Says Taylor Swift is Like a Big Sister to Her

It’s really no surprise that Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have become the best of friends over the years. The two singers have been the epitome of friendship goals many times, and they always find ways to celebrate each other — even when they’re not in the same city. Recently, when asked about their friendship on Instagram, Selena confirmed that they are indeed closer than ever.

As noted by E! News, Selena took to Instagram Live on Saturday, September 22, where she had some sweet things to say about T-Swift. "Taylor is awesome. I love her. She's amazing. I just talked to her today. She is literally like my big sister, I tell her everything. She is so smart, it freaks me out."

Yep, we’re crying. As if we weren’t already confident enough that their relationship was super-close, now we know how strong their bond truly is.

This isn’t the first time they’ve commented on their tight-knit friendship. During Taylor’s Reputation tour back in May, Selena joined her BFF on stage to collab on her hit song, “Hands to Myself.”

“I want to say thank you to my best friend of about 12 years, almost 13,” Selena told the crowd at the time. “And the reason why she has been one of my best friends is because this person has never, ever judged a single decision I've made. She's always met me where I've been. She's encouraged me when I've had nothing to be encouraged about. And I don't know if I would be as strong as I am if I didn't have you and your family because you changed my life."

Selena also thanked the crowd for supporting Taylor, describing her as “the most beautiful, strong, independent woman I've ever met."

If that isn’t true friendship, then I don’t know what is.
